MP News – A shocking case has emerged from Khajrana, Indore, where a husband allegedly gave triple talaq to his wife, calling her “illiterate” and “ignorant.” Following the victim’s complaint, police have registered a case against the husband and his parents.

Husband Insulted Wife Before Giving Triple Talaq

According to reports, the accused, Adil, told his wife, “You are illiterate and ignorant. I am educated, and I will do whatever I want.” After facing continuous harassment, the victim approached the Khajrana Police Station and lodged a complaint.

Husband Had an Affair

The victim revealed that her husband was involved with another woman even after their marriage. When she confronted him, he reportedly said, “Your parents forced you upon me. You are an illiterate and ignorant woman.” After this, he allegedly threw her out of the house. When she informed her in-laws, they threatened her and asked her to remain silent.

Triple Talaq & Domestic Violence

On June 30, 2024, tensions escalated, leading to physical abuse by the husband and his parents. During the altercation, the husband pronounced triple talaq and ended the marriage. He then threw her out of the house along with their two children, without even allowing her to take her belongings. The victim had to call her mother, who took her in. She has been staying with her mother for the past six months.

Dowry Harassment

The victim’s mother tried to resolve the issue through community mediation, but her in-laws refused to take her back without a dowry payment. The father-in-law reportedly said, “Once divorce is pronounced, reconciliation is not possible without money.” The victim also claimed that her wedding gifts and dowry items were still at her in-laws’ house, and they were refusing to return them.

Case Registered Against Accused

Upon receiving information from Mandsaur Police, Khajrana Police, Indore, took action and registered a case against the accused under the Triple Talaq Act and Dowry Harassment laws. The police are currently investigating the matter.
