The resigning members include Bhavna Gaur, the current MLA from Palam; BS Jun, the MLA from Bijwasan; Pawan Sharma, the MLA from Adarsh Nagar; Madan Lal, the MLA from Kasturba Nagar, along with a total of seven people.
Seven lawmakers from the Aam Aadmi Party have resigned today. The resigning members include current MLA from Palam, Bhavna Gaur; MLA from Bijwasan, BS Jun; MLA from Adarsh Nagar, Pawan Sharma; MLA from Kasturba Nagar, Madan Lal; MLA from Janakpuri, Rajesh Rishi; MLA from Trilokpuri, Rohit Mehrauli; and MLA from Mehrauli, Naresh Yadav. After their resignations, AAP MLA Rituraj Jha made a statement, saying that he too had received an offer from the BJP but not everyone is a defector.

Rituraj Jha said, “For the past few weeks, BJP members have been constantly contacting me and offering inducements. I joined my hands and told them that not everyone can be bought. They said, ‘What hasn’t Arvind Kejriwal given us? He gave a ticket to someone like me.’ I have been the MLA of Kirari for 10 years. In the future, they will give me even more responsibilities.”
He told the legislators who were leaving the party, “History will not forgive you. Arvind Kejriwal made you a legislator. You should never have done this. But I can take responsibility for this. I was, am, and will always be a soldier of Arvind Kejriwal.”
Rituraj Jha’s ticket also got cut
It is worth noting that one of the legislators whose ticket was cut was Rituraj Jha. In his place, the party has fielded Anil Jha, who came from the BJP in Kirdari. After this, he told Live Hindustan in an interview, “Do warriors ever leave the battlefield? We will fight the elections and we will win.”
