What are the benefits of the establishment of a Makhana Board?
CM Nitish Kumar said that the establishment of a Makhana Board in the state for the improvement of Makhana production, processing, value addition, and marketing will benefit Makhana farmers. Providing facilities for greenfield airports in Bihar to meet future needs will increase the number of international flights, benefiting the people here and further accelerating the state’s economic development. Financial assistance for the Western Kosi Canal Project in Mithilanchal will benefit farmers in the region. The provision for the expansion of Patna IIT in this budget will promote technical education. The establishment of the National Institute of Food Technology, Entrepreneurship, and Management in Bihar will provide opportunities for skill development, entrepreneurship, and employment to the youth, and promote food processing activities in Eastern India.

Tax relief will provide relief to the middle class
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar stated that the relief provided to the middle class through an income tax slab exemption of up to 12 lakh rupees will be beneficial. Increasing the loan limit on the Kisan Credit Card from 3 lakh to 5 lakh rupees will benefit farmers. The increase in the MSME credit guarantee cover from 5 crore to 10 crore rupees for micro enterprises will create more employment opportunities. Several steps have been taken in the budget for the welfare of the poor, youth, and farmers, which is commendable. He expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman for presenting a better budget.
