LPG Price on March 1, 2025: New Rates Released Today

Today, Saturday, March 1, the new LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) cylinder prices have been released. According to the latest rates, the relief given on Budget Day has now been withdrawn. The price of the 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder has increased, with a ₹6 hike from Delhi to Kolkata. However, looking at the price trends for March over the past five years, this is the lowest increase on March 1. According to data from the Indian Oil portal, the highest increase in March occurred in 2023, when prices jumped by ₹352 in one go.

Small Relief on Budget Day

On Budget Day, a minor relief of ₹7 was given only on the 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder. However, there has been no change in the price of domestic LPG cylinders (14 kg) since August 1, 2024.

Prices Increased from Delhi to Kolkata

As per the latest rates released by Indian Oil, the 19 kg LPG cylinder in Delhi is now priced at ₹1,803, up from ₹1,797 in February and ₹1,804 in January. In Kolkata, the same commercial cylinder now costs ₹1,913. In February, it was ₹1,911, which had dropped from ₹1,907 in January.

In Mumbai, the price of an LPG cylinder has again increased to ₹1,755.50. In February, it was ₹1,749.50, while in January, it was ₹1,756. The price of the 19 kg blue cylinder in Kolkata has also changed, now costing ₹1,965.50, up from ₹1,959.50 in February and ₹1,966 in January.

The price of a 14 kg domestic LPG cylinder in Delhi remains unchanged at ₹803 since August 1, 2024. As of March 1, 2025, the rates in other cities are:

Lucknow: ₹840.50 (14 kg) | ₹1,918 (19 kg)

Kolkata: ₹829

Mumbai: ₹802.50

Chennai: ₹818.50
