Mahua Maji Accident: Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) MP Mahua Maji has been severely injured in a road accident. Her family members also sustained injuries in the incident. The accident occurred when her car collided with a stationary truck. She has been admitted to RIMS Hospital in Ranchi for treatment.

The incident took place early in the morning on Wednesday, February 26, around 4 AM. JMM’s Rajya Sabha MP Mahua Maji was returning from Prayagraj after taking a holy dip at the Maha Kumbh. Her son and daughter-in-law were also traveling with her. While passing through Hotwag village on National Highway-39 in Latehar, her car crashed into a stationary truck. The front part of the vehicle was badly damaged, and Mahua Maji sustained serious injuries. She was initially taken to a local hospital for primary treatment and later referred to RIMS Ranchi for better medical care. Pictures have surfaced showing fractures in her hand.

A Fierce Leader of Jharkhand

Mahua Maji is considered close to the family of former Chief Minister Hemant Soren. She has been the president of JMM’s women’s wing for a long time. Apart from being a dynamic political leader, she is also a renowned Hindi-language writer and social worker. Four months ago, during the Jharkhand Assembly elections, JMM fielded her as a candidate from the Ranchi seat. However, she lost the election to BJP candidate Chandreshwar Prasad Singh.
