Weather Forecast: Changing Weather Conditions Across Several States
The weather has changed in several states across the country. Rainfall has been recorded in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Bihar, Jharkhand, Himachal Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Punjab, and several other states. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), this weather pattern is expected to continue for the next one to two days. IMD has predicted rain in multiple states on Friday as well. A western disturbance becoming active in the Himalayan region has led to these changes in weather. Hailstorms have also been reported in Rajasthan, Jharkhand, and other states, causing damage to crops.

Western Disturbance to Become Active
The Meteorological Department has predicted that a new western disturbance may become active from February 24. Additionally, a cyclonic circulation could form over northeastern India. Due to these weather systems, several states across the country will experience changing weather conditions in the coming days. These systems are expected to bring rain to Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan. Another western disturbance could become active in the second week, impacting Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Arunachal Pradesh. Heavy rainfall is expected in Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and Arunachal Pradesh during this period.
Strong Winds and Rain Expected in North and East India
According to the Meteorological Department, a new western disturbance may change the weather in several states from February 24. Light to moderate rainfall is expected in North India, including Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, North Rajasthan, and Western Uttar Pradesh. Meanwhile, in East India, strong winds are likely on February 22 and 23, accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, hailstorms, and rain.
Storm and Rain Alert in West Bengal
The Meteorological Department has predicted rain in West Bengal and Odisha today and tomorrow. Kolkata, East and West Medinipur, Howrah, Nadia, and North and South 24 Parganas districts may experience strong storms along with rainfall.
Cloudy Weather in Rajasthan
Due to the impact of the new western disturbance, some areas, including Sangaria in Hanumangarh district, received light rain in the past 24 hours. The Meteorological Department predicts cloudy weather in some regions on Saturday. However, most areas will remain dry. Today, partial cloud cover may be seen in the border areas of Western Rajasthan, with a possibility of light drizzles in some places. In the next 24 hours, the maximum temperature may drop by 2 to 4 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature may decrease by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius.
