Bollywood actress Urvashi Rautela is among the most active celebrities on social media. She is currently in the headlines for her film Daku Maharaj, which has been released on the OTT platform today, February 21. The film is receiving immense love from fans. Notably, it was released in theaters a month ago.
Urvashi Rautela also had a song in the movie, and there were claims that several of her scenes were removed before the OTT release, which stirred controversy for quite some time. Meanwhile, reports about her fees for the film have also surfaced.
Although the actress did not play a significant role in the film and had only a few minutes of screen time, initially, fans believed she would be seen in a lead role. However, that was not the case.

Charged a Huge Fee
After the film’s release, it was revealed that Urvashi Rautela’s role lasted only about 3 minutes. She appeared in a song titled Dabiddi Dabiddi, where she danced alongside Nandamuri Balakrishna. According to media reports, despite her brief screen time, she charged a hefty fee. Several reports claim that the actress was paid around ₹3 crore for her 3-minute role—essentially charging ₹1 crore per minute. However, neither the actress nor any member of the film’s team has officially confirmed this.
Faced Trolls
Before the film’s OTT release, Urvashi Rautela faced heavy trolling on social media. One user commented, “Urvashi Rautela has been deliberately removed from the poster and the film.” Another wrote, “She is the first actress to be removed from a Netflix poster by Dakoo Maharaj.” Someone else remarked, “The best promoter of the film isn’t even on the poster!”
