Filmmaker Nikhil Advani has made several films in his career. He has worked with Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, and Akshay Kumar in many films. However, Nikhil now says that he doesn’t know how to work with big stars. He mentions that the fans of these stars have high box office expectations, and he cannot work under that pressure.

What is Nikhil’s problem?

In fact, during an interview with Laharein Retro, when Nikhil was asked about working with Salman again, the director said, “I don’t want to make a film with Salman.” He also mentioned that he considers himself lucky to have the choice of deciding who he works with. He said, “I tell everyone, like John and Akshay, that I don’t know how to make a film that earns 600-800 crores.”

What’s the problem with stars?

He further explained that stars like Shah Rukh, Salman, Akshay, and Ajay Devgn have become so big that they don’t know how to satisfy their fans without big numbers. They have to hit those numbers.

Nikhil added that he still sends scripts to Akshay that he thinks will work for him, but he doesn’t want to direct them. He said, “I will produce their films, but I don’t want to direct them.”

When asked if he had ever shared a script with Shah Rukh, he said that he doesn’t have any subject for Shah Rukh. He added that he wouldn’t approach him unless he felt there was a project that could match the impact of films like Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Kal Ho Na Ho, or Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna.
