Indore News: A major action has been taken in the case of an assault on a police officer, leading to the suspension of a jail guard. The incident took place in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, where a police officer was held hostage and beaten. Along with the jail guard, another individual has also been arrested in connection with the case.
Suspension of Jail Guard
A probationary jail guard was suspended on Friday after being arrested for allegedly assaulting a Police Sub-Inspector (PSI) in Indore. According to officials from the jail department, the accused jail guard and his accomplice were caught on video abusing and beating the uniformed PSI, even forcing him into their luxury car.

The viral clip shows the suspects forcibly making the police officer sit inside their luxury car. The incident occurred on Wednesday morning when PSI T. Ekka was inspecting vehicles in the Banganga police station area. He stopped the suspects’ car after noticing suspicious activity. One of the arrested individuals, probationary jail guard Vikas Dabi (29), was posted at the sub-jail in Jobat, Alirajpur district. He was on leave and had come to Indore to visit his family.

Jail Guard’s Job on Compassionate Grounds
Shefali Tiwari, Superintendent of Badwani Central Jail, informed PTI that Dabi was given a government job in the jail department on compassionate grounds after his father’s death. His father was a constable in the jail department. Dabi was on a four-day leave, citing his father’s death anniversary.
Since his probation period had not ended, he was suspended under the Madhya Pradesh Civil Services (Conduct) Rules, 1965, following his arrest. The second arrested person has been identified as Ravi Rathore (25). Meanwhile, two other suspects involved in the case are still absconding, and police efforts are underway to apprehend them.
