Houston, USA: In yet another aviation incident in the United States, United Airlines Flight 1382 caught fire before takeoff at George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston on Sunday, February 2. According to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), an Airbus A319 carrying 104 passengers and 5 crew members was safely evacuated after the flight crew reported engine trouble at around 8:35 AM.
Incident Details
The fire broke out in one of the engines of United Airlines Flight 1382 just before takeoff.
The flight was scheduled to travel from Houston to New York’s LaGuardia Airport.
Video footage released by Houston Airport shows flames emerging from the aircraft’s wing.
A flight attendant was heard instructing passengers to remain calm and stay seated.
The Houston Fire Department confirmed that no one was injured, and no firefighting efforts were required.
The FAA has launched an investigation into the incident.
Flight Rescheduling
A replacement aircraft has been arranged, and passengers will now depart for New York at 12:30 PM. The incident highlights the importance of aviation safety and quick emergency response procedures.
