Baba Ramdev’s Remarks on Viral Content on Social Media
Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev started a free yoga therapy and meditation camp on Monday at Shri Gurukrishna Camp in Sector Nine. During the training session, he commented on the viral content circulating on social media in the name of Mahakumbh. He criticized the trend, saying that anything is going viral under the guise of funny videos and comedy. Some claim, “Baba hit someone with tongs,” others say, “Baba smoked a three-foot-long pipe,” and the absurdity reached a peak when someone posted about “the most beautiful Mahamandaleshwar of the Kumbh.”
He questioned, “Is this Kumbh, or some kind of exhibition?” He added that true religion lies in exemplary conduct in life. He expressed concern that everyone seems to be calling themselves ‘Baba’ these days, but just as not everyone can be a Prime Minister, Chief Minister, or President, not everyone can be a Baba. Only those who have attained the ultimate truth of life can be called true spiritual guides.
He emphasized understanding the significance of Sanatan festivals and events before participating in Kumbh. He encouraged attendees to come with the right mindset and experience the true essence of Kumbh by taking a holy dip. Baba Ramdev also conducted a yoga session from 5:00 to 7:30 AM.
