Rabri Devi Slams Nitish Kumar, Suggests Making Son CM Amid National Anthem Controversy
Bihar politics is in turmoil after a video of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar surfaced, where he was seen moving and smiling during the National Anthem at an event. Former CM and RJD leader Rabri Devi has taken a jibe at Nitish, advising him to make his son Nishant Kumar the Chief Minister if he is unable to handle governance.

Rabri Devi, the Leader of Opposition in Bihar Legislative Council, criticized Nitish’s actions during the Sepaktakraw World Cup inauguration in Patna. She claimed that disrespecting the National Anthem is an insult to the entire nation and questioned Nitish Kumar’s mental state.
Amid the controversy, opposition parties created a massive uproar in the Bihar Assembly, chanting slogans like “Rashtragan ka apmaan, nahi sahega Hindustan” (India will not tolerate the insult of the National Anthem). Due to the chaos, the proceedings of both houses had to be adjourned.
Meanwhile, Bihar’s Education Minister Sunil Kumar defended the CM, stating that there was no intention to insult the National Anthem. He emphasized Nitish Kumar’s long-standing contributions and dismissed the opposition’s allegations as mere political statements.
This political clash has intensified Bihar’s political landscape, raising speculations about the future of Nitish Kumar’s leadership. Will this controversy affect his political standing? Only time will tell.
