Punjab Police Withdraws Arvind Kejriwal’s Security: After objections from Delhi Police, Punjab Police has withdrawn the security provided to Arvind Kejriwal. He was being given security during the Delhi Assembly elections. According to Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav, Kejriwal faces security threats, but the security has been removed due to Delhi Police’s objections.

New Delhi: Following objections raised by Delhi Police, Punjab Police has withdrawn security provided to Arvind Kejriwal in Delhi. During the Delhi Assembly election campaign, Punjab Police had been providing security to Kejriwal. Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav stated on Thursday, “After objections from the Election Commission and Delhi Police, the security provided to Arvind Kejriwal by Punjab Police has been withdrawn.” He added, “We are concerned about the security threats to Arvind Kejriwal and are in discussions with Delhi Police regarding this matter.”

The political temperature in Delhi has risen over this issue. Aam Aadmi Party MP Sanjay Singh stated that the Delhi Police forcibly removed Arvind Kejriwal’s Punjab Police security. Punjab’s ADGP (Security) S.S. Srivastava said, “Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann and AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal have been provided Z+ security by Punjab. Some security personnel were deployed in Delhi for Arvind Kejriwal’s security duty, but after concerns raised by the Delhi Police, we have withdrawn the security.”

Kejriwal Accuses Delhi Police of Serious Allegations

Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday leveled serious allegations against the Delhi Police. He claimed that the police allowed supporters of the opposition candidate to enter his public meeting and then orchestrated an attack on his car. Taking a dig at Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Kejriwal alleged that all of this is being done at Shah’s behest. He further accused Amit Shah of turning the Delhi Police into BJP’s private army.

Arvind Kejriwal wrote on social media platform X, “Today in Hari Nagar, the police allowed the supporters of the opposition candidate to enter my public meeting and then orchestrated an attack on my car. All of this is happening on Amit Shah Ji’s orders. Amit Shah Ji has turned Delhi Police into BJP’s private army.”
