Mahila Samridhi Yojana: Delhi Government’s ₹2,500 Monthly Assistance Scheme for Women May Begin on March 8

The Mahila Samridhi Yojana, launched by the BJP-led Delhi government, is expected to begin on March 8. According to sources, women aged between 21 and 60 years, with an annual income of less than ₹2.5 lakh, will receive a monthly financial assistance of ₹2,500 under this scheme.
An official associated with the scheme stated that a meeting was held in the presence of Delhi’s Chief Secretary to discuss eligibility criteria. This scheme was one of the major promises made by the BJP during the Delhi Assembly elections.

The official further explained, “The income limit for eligible women under the Mahila Samridhi Yojana will be ₹2.5 lakh per year. We have prepared a draft for the scheme, which will be presented in the Cabinet meeting for approval.” Once the draft is approved, the registration process will begin.
Some Women to Receive Initial Payments
Party sources revealed that BJP President J.P. Nadda, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, and other senior leaders will attend the launch event on March 8. During the event, which will be held at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium on International Women’s Day, the online registration process will be initiated, and some beneficiaries will receive a symbolic payment.
Recently, BJP MP Manoj Tiwari announced that registration for the scheme will commence from March 8.
Documents Required for Mahila Samridhi Yojana
To apply for the scheme, women must provide the following documents:
1. Aadhaar Card – Required for identity verification.
2. Bank Account Linked to Aadhaar – The beneficiary’s bank account must be linked to Aadhaar for seamless fund transfers.
3. Bank Account (if not available, needs to be opened) – Women without a bank account should open one as soon as possible.
4. Income Certificate – Proof of annual income is necessary.
5. Ration Card – Can be used to verify eligibility.
