Salman Khan’s ‘Sikandar’ Creates Massive Buzz Ahead of Release!
Salman Khan’s much-awaited film Sikandar is set to release on Eid, but fans are eagerly waiting for the exact date. Reports suggest that the makers are planning to release the film on Sunday, March 30. The production is being wrapped up quickly, with A.R. Murugadoss busy with the editing work and producer Sajid Nadiadwala working on further plans. Meanwhile, the film’s non-theatrical rights have been sold for a record-breaking price.

How Much Has Sikandar Earned So Far?
Sikandar has been made on a massive budget of ₹400 crore. According to a report by Pinkvilla, Sajid Nadiadwala has secured a great deal for the film’s non-theatrical rights. The digital, satellite, and music rights have been sold for approximately ₹165 crore. This means that a significant portion of the production cost has already been recovered. The film’s earnings will further increase depending on its box office performance.
How Much Was the OTT Deal Worth?
Netflix has acquired the post-theatrical streaming rights of Sikandar for a base price of ₹85 crore. If the film’s theatrical earnings surpass ₹350 crore, this deal could go up to ₹100 crore. Additionally, Zee has purchased the satellite rights for ₹50 crore, while Zee Music Company has acquired the music rights for ₹30 crore. This brings the total non-theatrical revenue to an estimated ₹165-180 crore, depending on the film’s box office performance.
How Much Production Cost Has Been Recovered?
Sikandar is being made on a grand scale, with a production cost of approximately ₹180 crore and an expected P&A (Print & Advertising) cost of ₹20 crore. The best part is that over 80% of the costs have already been recovered through pre-release business. However, Salman Khan’s fee is not included in this cost.
Good News for Salman Khan Fans!
With Sikandar being a ₹400-crore project, its earnings are expected to increase even before its release. This significantly reduces the risk of failure. Given Salman Khan’s massive fan base, the film is expected to have a thunderous opening weekend. If the story resonates well with the audience, it could become a blockbuster. Moreover, Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna’s on-screen pairing might turn out to be lucky for the film. It will be interesting to see how much Sikandar earns before its release!
