Weather Alert: Change in Weather Across Several Parts of the Country, Including Delhi-NCR
The weather has changed in many parts of the country, including Delhi-NCR. Strong winds are blowing in several areas, while some regions are likely to experience rain. Due to the strong, cold winds in Delhi-NCR, temperatures have dropped. During the day, the sun is shining brightly, giving a feeling of warmth, but the strong winds make mornings and late evenings feel cold. In Rajasthan, the temperature has also dipped due to cold winds. Meanwhile, the hilly states continue to witness rain and snowfall. Several areas in Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand are expected to receive more rain and snow today.

Weather in Delhi-NCR
Strong winds continue to blow in Delhi. According to the Meteorological Department, winds at a speed of 20 to 30 kilometers per hour were recorded throughout Wednesday in the national capital. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) reported that the maximum temperature for the day was recorded at 25°C, which is 2.4°C below normal, while the minimum temperature was 11.8°C. The department has predicted that strong northwesterly winds may continue on Thursday as well, with wind speeds expected to be around 14 to 18 kilometers per hour. IMD has forecasted that the maximum temperature in Delhi on Thursday could reach around 29°C, while the minimum temperature may be around 13°C.

Cold Returns to Uttar Pradesh?
Like Delhi, Uttar Pradesh is also experiencing a drop in temperature due to strong winds. The influence of a western disturbance is causing strong westerly winds across the state. As a result, many districts in Uttar Pradesh are once again feeling the cold, despite the presence of bright sunshine. According to the Meteorological Department, wind speeds in some areas have reached 30 to 40 kilometers per hour. However, the department has stated that wind speeds are likely to decrease from Friday onward.
Weather in Rajasthan Today
Strong winds are also affecting Rajasthan. According to IMD, westerly winds have led to a drop in temperatures in several districts of the state. Due to these winds, both maximum and minimum temperatures have decreased by two to four degrees Celsius. However, the Meteorological Department predicts that temperatures in Rajasthan may start rising again from March 7-8.
Weather Systems in the Country
According to a report by Skymet Weather, a cyclonic circulation has formed over northeastern Assam and the surrounding areas. A fresh Western Disturbance is expected to impact the Western Himalayan region from March 9. The previously existing Western Disturbance has now moved northeastward from North Pakistan and nearby areas. Due to these weather systems, strong northwesterly winds swept across Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Vidarbha, and northern Maharashtra on Wednesday. Meanwhile, light rain and snowfall were observed in Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Sikkim, and Arunachal Pradesh.
