A new western disturbance is set to impact North India on March 2.

Varanasi: Today marks the last day of February, and significant changes in Uttar Pradesh’s weather are expected. The Meteorological Department has issued an Orange Alert for this. According to the latest update, several districts in western UP may experience hailstorms, rain, and strong winds today, along with the possibility of lightning strikes.

As per the IMD, districts like Ghaziabad, Meerut, Baghpat, Hapur, Moradabad, Bijnor, Muzaffarnagar, Saharanpur, and Rampur may witness rain and hailstorms, with winds blowing at a speed of 30 to 40 km/h on Friday. Additionally, 25 other districts may experience light rain and lightning. Several districts in eastern UP have also been placed on alert.
