Prabhudas Lilladher’s Market Outlook: Short-Term Volatility, Long-Term Investment Strategy
Prabhudas Lilladher believes that market volatility will continue in the short term, but stability may return after the March quarter. If you’re uncertain about the market, the brokerage firm’s report could be helpful.
The firm has revised its Nifty 50 base target downward by 6% to 25,689 points from its previous target of 27,172 points. It has also lowered its Earnings Per Share (EPS) target for Nifty, indicating that while a recovery is expected, it may be slow.
In a bull run scenario, the new Nifty target is 27,041, compared to the earlier estimate of 29,263.
Long-Term Investment Strategy
In its February 25 report, Prabhudas Lilladher advised investors to focus on long-term investments and carefully select stocks. The firm previously issued a report on January 10, since when Nifty has dropped by around 5%.
The decline is attributed to weak consumer demand, currency depreciation, geopolitical factors, and pressure from U.S. President Donald Trump’s tariff policies.
