Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has alleged that the previous AAP government left the state treasury empty before the BJP government took over. However, she assured that the plan to provide ₹2,500 per month to women will definitely be implemented, and preparations for it are underway.

On Sunday, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta held a meeting with BJP MLAs at the state BJP office in Delhi. During a press conference after the meeting, she accused the previous AAP government of leaving the treasury empty for the BJP administration. She assured that several meetings had already taken place regarding the implementation of the Mahila Samriddhi Yojana, under which ₹2,500 will be provided to eligible women in Delhi. She stated that the scheme would be launched with a well-detailed plan.
Rekha Gupta participated in a meeting with BJP MLAs at the party’s state office ahead of the first session of the newly formed 8th Delhi Assembly, set to begin on Monday. Speaking to journalists after the meeting, the newly appointed Chief Minister reiterated that multiple discussions had already been held with officials regarding the implementation of the Mahila Samriddhi Yojana, which aims to provide ₹2,500 per month to eligible women in Delhi.
When asked about the preparations for the scheme’s implementation, she said that the government had reviewed the current financial situation with officials and found that the previous administration had left behind an empty treasury. However, she reassured that the scheme would still be implemented.
On this occasion, Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva stated that the BJP government’s sole agenda is to ensure a developed Delhi and address the issues faced by the people.
