Arjun Kapoor has finally chosen the right path. He has been active in films for several years, but his acting has often been criticized. However, with Mere Husband Ki Biwi, he has proved that he is a capable actor and can excel in comedy films too. The film, filled with humor, presents Arjun Kapoor alongside Bhumi Pednekar and Rakul Preet Singh, and their on-screen chemistry works well. Let’s dive deeper into the movie.

Story:
The film follows the life of Ankur Chaddha (played by Arjun Kapoor), a real estate businessman. He marries his college-time girlfriend, Prablin Kaur (Bhumi Pednekar), who works as a journalist. However, balancing work and personal life becomes challenging for them, leading to their marriage falling apart due to Prablin’s actions.
While Ankur struggles to cope with his failed marriage, he crosses paths with Antara (Rakul Preet Singh), his former college mate. He finds love again with Antara, and her entry into his life brings a new twist to the story. What happens next? To find out, you’ll have to watch the movie yourself!
Acting:
When it comes to performances, Arjun Kapoor has truly owned his role as Ankur Chaddha. He is entertaining to watch, and for the first time, he genuinely appears to be acting on screen. His comic timing is impressive, and his expressions are spot on.
Bhumi Pednekar, as always, brings life to her character. Rakul Preet Singh as Antara is also fun to watch. This is her second film with Arjun, and whenever they appear together, their chemistry lights up the screen.
Direction:
Director Mudassar Aziz has kept the story simple and relatable to modern audiences. Known for films like Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi, Pati Patni Aur Woh, and Khel Khel Mein, he has once again delivered an engaging comedy.
Music:
The film features some catchy songs that became popular even before the movie’s release. Badshah’s recreated version of Gori Hai Kalaiyan is enjoyable, and the background score complements the film’s tone well.
Flaws:
The first half of the film feels slow and may seem a bit dull. However, things pick up in the second half, making the movie more engaging and entertaining.
Watch it or Skip it?
Comedy films may seem easy to watch, but they require a lot of effort from the entire team, and that hard work is evident in this movie. If you enjoy comedy films, Mere Husband Ki Biwi is worth watching.
If you’re waiting for box office numbers before deciding, I’d say don’t hesitate—go watch it!
Final Rating: 3.5/5 Stars
