
Betul: A major accident occurred in Betul district of Madhya Pradesh when a dumper collided with a passenger bus, causing it to overturn. Initial reports indicate that 32 passengers were injured in the incident. The injured have been taken to the district hospital for treatment. Collector Narendra Kumar Suryavanshi and SDM Rajeev Kahar also visited the hospital to assess the situation.
The accident took place around 8 PM on Sunday in Khamalpur, under the Ranipur police station area. According to reports, a Pratiksha bus traveling from Betul to Sarni had reached Khamalpur at the time of the incident. As passengers were getting off the bus on the Khamajpur Bridge, a dumper coming from behind crashed into the bus with great force.
Due to the impact, the bus overturned right on the bridge. At the time of the accident, around 40 passengers were onboard, most of whom sustained injuries. Upon receiving information about the incident, police and ambulances rushed to the scene. The injured passengers were taken to the district hospital and Ghoradongri Community Health Center with the help of emergency response teams, including Dial 100 and ambulance services.
Additional Superintendent of Police Kamla Joshi, Sarni SDOP Roshan Kumar Jain, Ghoradongri Tehsildar Mahima Chaudhary, and Ranipur Police Station in-charge Avadhesh Tiwari also arrived at the scene to ensure that all injured passengers received timely medical assistance. The SDRF team also reached the accident site and managed the power supply for rescue operations.
According to sources, 28 injured passengers were admitted to the district hospital. Collector Narendra Kumar Suryavanshi and SDM Rajeev Kahar visited the hospital, interacted with the injured, and gathered details about the accident. They also instructed doctors to provide proper medical care to the victims.
