Mahindra has recently entered the electric car market. The company has launched its new electric cars, XUV 9e and BE 6. On February 14, Mahindra opened bookings for these models, and as soon as the bookings went live, the entire automobile industry was taken by surprise. Mahindra set a new record in bookings, receiving an overwhelming response from customers.
According to reports, Mahindra received over 30,000 bookings for the XUV 9e and BE 6 on the very first day. The company started accepting bookings on February 14, 2025. These electric cars are based on the INGLO platform.

Record Broken on the First Day!
Mahindra has made headlines with the bookings of its electric cars, setting a historic milestone. In 2024, Mahindra sold only 100,000 cars throughout the year, but on the very first day of booking for these two new models, the company reached the 30,000 mark. The demand for Mahindra’s XUV 9e and BE 6 is soaring, with a total of 30,179 customers booking these vehicles on day one. Out of these, 56% of bookings were for the XUV 9e, while 44% were for the BE 6. However, the demand gap between the two models is not significant.

When comparing both vehicles, the highest number of bookings were made for the larger battery pack variant (79 kWh). This indicates that customers prefer models with larger battery packs. The Mahindra BE 6 with the 79 kWh battery pack is priced at ₹26.90 lakh, while the top-end variant of the Mahindra XUV 9e with the larger battery pack costs ₹31.50 lakh.
In terms of range, the Mahindra BE 6 with the 79 kWh battery pack offers a driving range of 656 kilometers on a full charge, while the XUV 9e provides an impressive range of 682 kilometers per charge.
