Multiple FIRs Filed Against Ranveer Allahbadia in Various States
Mumbai Police Unable to Contact Him; YouTuber Moves Supreme Court for Relief
New Delhi: The troubles of YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia in the “obscene joke” controversy continue to mount. Multiple FIRs have been filed against him in different states. The Mumbai Police have revealed that despite their attempts to contact him, his phone remains unreachable, and no one is present at his residence. This lack of communication between the police and Ranveer Allahbadia has added a new twist to the case.
Today, Mumbai Police had summoned Ranveer Allahbadia for questioning at Khar Police Station, but he failed to appear. Meanwhile, through his lawyer Abhinav Chandrachud, he has filed a petition in the Supreme Court requesting that all FIRs against him across different states be consolidated. The YouTuber has also sought protection from coercive action and expressed concerns over the actions taken by the Guwahati Police. Other individuals associated with the show have also received summons.

Maharashtra Cyber Department Records Statements
The Maharashtra Cyber Department recorded the statement of comedian Devesh Dixit today. Dixit had served as a judge on the show India’s Got Latent. Similarly, comedian Samay Raina has been issued a notice to record his statement on February 18 at the Maharashtra Cyber Department. Ranveer Allahbadia has also been summoned, but citing security concerns, he has expressed his inability to appear for the statement at present.
Controversial Statement About Parents Sparked Outrage
The controversy erupted after Ranveer Allahbadia made an offensive remark regarding parents and sex on an episode of India’s Got Latent, a show featuring comedians and influencers as judges and contestants. During the show, he posed a controversial question to a contestant:
“Would you rather spend the rest of your life watching your parents have sex or participate once to end it forever?”
Apology Video Shared After Backlash
Ranveer Allahbadia, who has over 16 million social media followers, faced massive backlash after his comments went viral. Following the controversy, he issued a video apology.
Meanwhile, the Guwahati Police have registered an FIR under multiple sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) against Ranveer Allahbadia, Samay Raina, and all the judges of the show, including Ashish Chanchlani, Jaspreet Singh, and Apoorva Makhija.
