Who Will Be Delhi’s New CM? Ravi Kishan’s Interesting Hint
After the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) secured victory in the Delhi Assembly elections, the biggest question remains—who will be the next Chief Minister? Several names are being speculated, including Parvesh Verma, Vijender Gupta, Abhay Verma, and Mohan Singh Bisht. There are also rumors that a woman or a Dalit leader might be considered for the position. Amid these discussions, BJP MP Ravi Kishan has hinted that the new CM’s name will be a surprising one.
Actor and politician Ravi Kishan, who actively campaigned in Purvanchal-dominated seats of Delhi, gave a rather intriguing response when asked about the new CM. Speaking to News24 at the Parliament complex, he said, “It will be someone extraordinary. This is BJP, so expect something amazing. It will be someone so unexpected that people will say, ‘Ah… they will be left speechless!’ Mark my words.” In Purvanchali slang, being left in shock is often referred to as “muh ba dena” (mouth wide open in surprise).
Notably, similar speculations arose in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh during their recent Assembly elections. However, the BJP surprised everyone by announcing two names that were not widely discussed—Bhajanlal Sharma in Rajasthan and Mohan Yadav in Madhya Pradesh. Some political analysts believe that the BJP might follow the same strategy in Delhi and appoint an unexpected candidate.
The BJP ended the Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) three-term dominance and brought the lotus back to Delhi after 26 years. Out of 70 seats, BJP won 48. During the election campaign, AAP had repeatedly questioned BJP for not having a CM face. Meanwhile, AAP had projected Arvind Kejriwal as its Chief Ministerial candidate for a fourth consecutive term.
