Vicky Kaushal, one of Bollywood’s most talented actors, immerses himself completely in every character he portrays. His brilliant performances always impress the audience. Now, he is set to play the role of the Maratha warrior, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, in his upcoming film Chhava. The historical film is directed by Laxman Utekar, and Vicky will be seen alongside Rashmika Mandanna. In a recent interview, Vicky shared how challenging the film was for him. He also revealed that his walk even changed due to the film, which his wife, Katrina Kaif, noticed.
At the recent HT City’s Stars In The City event, Vicky revealed that after the shoot for Chhava, the influence of his character lingered in his behavior, which Katrina picked up on. The actor mentioned that the shooting schedule was extremely tight: “12 hours of shooting, 2 hours of training, and 2 hours of action rehearsal, then I would return home and fall straight onto the bed. Being so immersed in work, it becomes difficult to find time for personal life.” Vicky further mentioned that he was so absorbed in the role of Chhava that Katrina noticed a significant change in him. He said, “Laxman sir also noticed that my walk had gained a grace similar to that of Chhatrapati Sambhaji. But no one, not even Katrina, felt it was bad. She actually said, ‘This looks great!’”
Another thing Katrina noticed was that Vicky appeared more calm and distant. Vicky explained that during the shoot, his mind was constantly focused on his work. “Even after coming home, I kept thinking about what I did that day, what could have been better, and what needs to be done tomorrow. Because of this, sometimes I wasn’t as engaged in conversations. Katrina, being from the same industry, understands this.” Vicky’s film Chhava is releasing this week, and the actor has high hopes for it.
