A shocking video has surfaced on social media showing passengers breaking the glass windows of an AC coach in a train bound for Mahakumbh. The incident reportedly took place on the Swatantrata Senani Express running from Jaynagar to Delhi via Prayagraj.
Massive Crowd at Mahakumbh Causes Travel Disruptions
With the Shahi Snan (Royal Bathing Ritual) currently underway, Mahakumbh is witnessing massive crowds. Reports suggest that traffic congestion has started 300 km before the event site, causing severe inconvenience for travelers. Although authorities claim that traffic has been brought under control, viral videos tell a different story—showing packed roads and overcrowded trains.
Passengers Riot at Madhubani Station
According to reports, the incident occurred at Madhubani station, where a huge crowd was waiting for the train. When the AC coach doors remained closed, frustrated passengers started attacking the coach, shattering its glass windows to forcefully enter. A family sitting inside the coach was caught in the chaos, leading to a woman getting injured by falling glass shards.
Injury to a Female Passenger
The video shows passengers kicking and hitting the AC coach window until the glass shatters. The broken glass fell on a female passenger, injuring her neck. Furious, she confronted the unruly crowd, but her family calmed her down.
Social Media Demands Action
The viral video has sparked public outrage, with many netizens calling for strict action against those responsible. Social media users have expressed concerns over public safety and damage to railway property.
One user wrote, “This kind of vandalism needs strict punishment.”
Another suggested, “The authorities should identify and fine these people.”
A third user commented, “Until the government takes strong action, this destruction will continue.”
With Mahakumbh still attracting massive crowds, authorities are under pressure to prevent further chaos and ensure safe travel for all passengers.
