Hallmark: The True Mark of Gold
When buying gold jewelry, it is important never to compromise on quality. Always check for the hallmark, as it is the government’s guarantee of purity. In India, the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certifies the hallmark, with different marks for each carat of gold. Always verify the hallmark when purchasing gold to avoid buying adulterated items.
Continued Surge in Gold Prices
Over the past month, gold prices have been skyrocketing worldwide. This surge has been influenced by changes made by the American Federal Reserve, which impacted the international market. These changes have led to a significant rise in gold and silver prices globally, with the Indian market also experiencing increased volatility after the national budget. If you’re thinking about buying gold, now might be a good time, as prices could reach even higher levels in the coming days. Experts predict that by the end of this year, gold could surpass ₹90,000 per 10 grams.
